US President Joe Biden and his family are mourning the loss of their German shepherd, Champ, who on Saturday June 19, died  at the age of 13.  "Our hearts are heavy today as we let you all know that our beloved German Shepherd, Champ, passed away peacefully at home," a statement from the White House said. "He was our constant, cherished companion during the last 13 years and was adored by the entire Biden family." "Even as Champ’s strength waned in his last months, when we came into a room, he would immediately pull himself up, his tail always wagging, and nuzzle us for an ear scratch or a belly rub."   Champ was one of two German Shepherds living at the White House with the president and first lady.   The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspected gunrunner, Chief Otuya Josiah and a Nollywood producer/actor, Mike Omoruyi, in Ukwuani Local Government Area of the state. The acting spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday June 19, said that suspected gunrunner was apprehended following the arrest of Omoruyi, over illegal possession of arms hired for movie production.   Barcelona have announced Holland forward Memphis Depay will join the club on a free transfer after his contract expires with Lyon at the end of the month. The singer, in a video via his Instagram story on Friday night, revealed that he has found it difficult to be with one woman because there are a lot of beautiful women in the world. According to him, despite the fact that men are always portrayed to stick to or marry one woman in movies, the reverse has always been the case in reality. “I can’t just stick to one woman and I wonder who is to blame. “Its like when I watch movies or read novels and its been portrayed that a man should be married or stick to one woman for the rest of his life but it just feels weird in reality. “I honestly want to love and be with one woman but it’s just so difficult because there’s a lot of beautiful women in the world and I just can’t help it. The US has decided to pull out missile defense systems, soldiers and other military hardware and personnel from Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East, as it realigns its forces to confront threats posed by China and Russia, according to a new report by the Wall Street Journal. According to the report, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin instructed the commander of US Central Command, which oversees the Middle East region, to remove the forces this summer. Pentagon spokeswoman Cmdr. Jessica McNulty said some of the military capabilities and equipment will be returned to the United States for much needed maintenance and repair while other assets will be redeployed to other regions.
