  The midfielder went to ground during the match and required extensive on-pitch treatment towards the end of the first half of the game in Copenhagen Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen is stable in hospital after collapsing during his country's opening Euro 2020 game against Finland in Copenhagen. The Inter Milan star went down during the opening half of the Group B match and required extensive medical attention on the pitch before he was removed on a stretcher.  After Eriksen was taken to the hospital, UEFA sent out word that his condition was stable. The Danish FA also confirmed that Eriksen was awake and undergoing further tests. The game was initially suspended before UEFA later confirmed that it would be restarted after a delay of more than 90 minutes.     The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), on Friday, honoured the Nigerian-American welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman as Nigeria’s Tourism Ambassador. The Director-General of NTDC, Mr Folorunsho Coker, said this when the Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC), Usman visited him in Abuja.     The management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria in Kaduna State on Thursday announced the indefinite suspension of academic activities following the attack on the institution by suspected bandits. Mallam Mahmud Kwarbai, Information and Protocol Officer of the Institution made this known in a statement on Friday. Suspected bandits attacked the Polytechnic, killed one student, abducted two staff and other students.   Kwarbai said the attack had created serious tension among the students, hence the indefinite suspension of academic activities at the institution. The institution’s Information Officer noted that students had been directed to vacate the institution immediately. He, however, said IJMB students were excluded as their external examination conducted by Ahmadu Bello University, would commence on June 15.

The magazine cover shows a sunglasses-wearing US President Biden, and comes ahead of the upcoming summit between Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva on June 16.  The illustration features Biden in his signature aviator shades with the headline, "Taking on Putin."  TIME magazine consecutively published unflattering illustrations of former President Donald Trump, complete with a pair of covers showing his "meltdown" stages and another set of covers showing Trump’s Oval Office filling up with water amid a "stormy" situation. Several Malawian diplomats have been declared “persona non grata” by the South African government after being found guilty of peddling duty-free alcohol. Malawi’s foreign affairs ministry in Lilongwe confirmed that South Africa had given the diplomats and their families 72 hours to leave the country. Kanye West has unfollwed his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian and all her sisters on Twitter. The rapper has also unfollowed all of Kim's sisters on Instagram. It is not clear if he unfollowed them before or after the Kardashians wished him a happy birthday on social media.     This comes amidst reports Kanye West is now dating supermodel,  Irina Shayk. They were pictured looking cozy together as they strolled in France. Kanye and Irina have known each other for years. Irina previously starred in Kanye's video for "Power". They have reportedly  been together romantically for months. Kim is said to be aware of the relationship. "Her only concern is their kids," a source told People .   "She wants Kanye to be present and spend as much time with them as possible. The kids love when Kanye is around."

Regular and strenuous exercise increases the risk of motor neurone disease in people who are genetically vulnerable, scientists have said after a new study. Scientists from the University of Sheffield who carried out the study, advised people not to stop exercising but said they hope the findings could lead to ways of screening people who may be at higher risk and give tailored advice The study added that around one in 300 people will develop motor neurone disease.   Motor Neurone Diseases (MND) is a disease that affects people's ability to move, talk and even breathe as the motor neurones that carry messages from the brain to the muscles fail.  The disease shortens people's lifespan.
