World leaders on Friday, June 11, arrived in the United Kingdom for a three-day G7 summit where they are expected to discuss global pandemic recovery, including a commitment to share 1 billion vaccine doses with poorer countries.     This is the first official foreign trip by Joe Biden since assuming presidency in January 2021.   It's also his first face to face meeting with world leaders.   The Group of 7 also known as G7 is made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the US. Represented jointly by the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission, the EU participates in all discussions as a guest.  The UK has also invited leaders from Australia, India, South Africa, and South Korea to attend the Leaders' Summit as guest countries.    Queen Elizabeth II will also hold a dinner for the world leaders. The police in Osun state has arrested a 40-year-old man, Kabiru Oyeduntan, with dismembered parts of a yet-to-be-identified woman.   A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command said the police on Thursday, June 10 at about 9pm, got intelligence report that some ritualists beheaded an unknown lady at quarry area of Apomu.   She said a team of police operatives in collaboration with the local security outfits swiftly moved into action and arrested the suspect with the butchered body parts of a suspected lady of about 20 years of age. The spokesperson added that some of the body parts of the deceased are still missing. She said body parts recovered inside a box in one of the rooms of the suspect include the head, wrist, feet and some other parts of the severed body.     The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is planning to launch its own digital currency by the end of 2021, Rakiya Mohammed, the bank’s IT specialist said on Thursday in Lagos. Ms Mohammed’s disclosure follows the conclusion of the Bankers Committee meeting. According to her, the apex bank has for over two years been exploring the technology and has made tremendous progress. “Before the end of the year, the Central Bank will be making a special announcement and possibly launching a pilot scheme in order to be able to provide this kind of currency to the populace,” she said.   Ms Mohammed said when eventually operational, the currency would complement cash notes. The official said another reason the apex bank plans to come up with digital currency is to make remittances travel easier from abroad to Nigeria. A 34-year-old Nigerian man recently separated from his wife attacked her parents' home in Douglasville, Georgia, killing her and his mother-in-law before taking his own life. Udoamaka Nwamu, of East Point, Fulton County, took a handgun to his in-laws’ home in Douglasville on Sunday, June 6, where his estranged wife, Kaliyah Nwamu, was staying, and fired shots into the front and back of the house on Long Lake Drive.     Douglas County Sheriff Tim Pounds said in a news release on Tuesday, June 8, that the gunshots resulted in multiple 911 calls and deputies were dispatched to the house.  Before they arrived, Nwamu forced his way inside the home.  Deputies were met with gunfire from the house and were forced to take cover, while an emergency response team and hostage negotiator were sent to the scene. Digital Underground founding member Shock G’s cause of death has been revealed, months after the rap icon died at age of 57. According to TMZ, Shock G died from an overdose of fentanyl, alcohol, and methamphetamine, as determined by the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner. He was found unresponsive by a hotel manager at a Tampa hotel on April 22, and was last seen the day before. The manager went to check on Shock G’s room after he reportedly missed his check-out time at the hotel. The manager called 911 upon finding him, and Shock was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. His death was confirmed by Digital Underground’s co-founder Chopmaster J in a post on Instagram in April.  “34 years ago almost to the day we had a wild idea: We can be a hip hop band and take on the world,” wrote Chopmaster J. “Long live Shock G, aka Humpty Hump.
