Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems has been nominated for the 2021 BET Awards. She was nominated alongside South African R&B singer, Elaine; British acts; Arlo Parks and Bree Runway, who are both rappers and singers. Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy was also nominated for "Best New International Act" alongside French singers, Aya Nakamura and Youssoupha, and others. Former South Korean soccer player, Yoo Sang-chul,  has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer, the Korea Football Association said in a statement. He was 49. The midfielder starred in the country’s run to the 2002 World Cup semifinals in 2002, under Guus Hiddink, which the country co-hosted with Japan. Yoo scored against Poland to kick off the group stage with a victory, the team going on to defeat Italy and Spain. He made FIFA’s All-Star team of the tournament that year. The KFA confirmed his passing with a message: “We will forever remember the shouts and glory of that day with you. Rest in peace.” Yoo won the K-League title with Ulsan Hyundai in 1996 and 2005 and also helped Yokohama F. Marinos claim the J. League crown in 2003 and 2004 during his 16-year playing career. The Delta State Police Command has rescued one Efe Caroline, who was kidnapped by gunmen in Oreokpe, in Okpe Local Government Area of the state.    Spokesperson of the command, DSP Edafe Bright, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, June 8, said three suspected cultists and two armed robbers were also arrested.   "On the 6/6/2021 at about 2145hrs, The Divisional police officer, orerokpe division received a timely distressed call from an unknown caller that four(4) armed men, suspected to be kidnappers shot sporadically at Biokoro extension and kidnapped one Efe Caroline ‘f’ 38yrs. Consequently, Police operatives from Orerokpe Division were quickly detailed to the area," he stated.   The operatives on getting to the scene sighted the hoodlums and gave them a hot chase, engaged them in a shootout at Okujorogun Community. VfB Stuttgart player,  Silas Wamangituka, who was recently voted Bundesliga's Rookie of the Season, has been playing under a false name and age this season, his club have announced. It was revealed that the Congolese forward is actually named Silas Katompa Mvumpa and is 22 years old and not 21, as was previously understood.   Stuttgart claimed that Silas was put under pressure by an agent-based in Paris to change his name in order to claim a European visa and earn a move to RSC Anderlecht. Former US President, Donald Trump has congratulated the Nigerian government for suspending Twitter activities in the country. "Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their President. More COUNTRIES should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech - all voices should be heard, " Trump said in a statement. A South African woman has reportedly given birth to 10 babies at once, breaking a world record set just last month. 37-year-old Gosiame Thamara Sithole, already a mom of six-year-old twins, initially thought she was going to have eight kids. However, when she gave birth on Monday, June 7, she was surprised when 10 babies emerged, her husband, Teboho Tsotetsi, told the Pretoria News. She gave birth by Caesarean section at a Pretoria hospital.    Husband Tsotetsi told Pretoria News: "It’s seven boys and three girls.   "I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much.
