Sergio Aguero will join Barcelona on a free transfer following his departure from Manchester City. The 32-year-old underwent a medical at Camp Nou on Monday before signing a two-year contract with the Blaugrana. Barca moved for Aguero after City’s decision to let the striker go at the end of his contract, bringing to an end his trophy-laden ten-year spell in Manchester. Aguero is set to link up with his international team-mate and close friend Messi at Camp Nou, and they will be expected to strike up a strong partnership as the Blaugrana aim to return to elite level on both domestic and European fronts.

Actress Rita Dominic has expressed her concerns about the current state of the nation. In a tweet posted today May 31, Rita said everyone is watching Nigeria slip into anarchy. Her tweet reads ''I am afraid that we are watching Nigeria slip into anarchy. It is surreal. Our elected officials need to work harder to douse the tension in the country. We need peace to reign. Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has written an open letter explaining why he decided to step down as the club's manager. Zidane has delivered three Champions League cups and two La Liga titles across two separate spells at Santiago Bernabeu, but decided to resign at the end of this season following the club's first trophyless campaign since 2009-10. Police in Butaleja District in eastern Uganda have arrested a 31-year-old teacher for allegedly eloping with his 16-year-old student. The suspect, identified as John Omondi, allegedly eloped with one of his students at Mabale Primary School in Butaleja Sub-county in January this year, before he got her pregnant. His arrest came after some parents reported the case to Butaleja Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Mr Stanley Bayole. The police spokesman for Bukedi South Region, Mr Moses Mugwe, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, May 30, said Omondi’s offence amounted to aggravated defilement. "We have arrested a teacher in a government-aided primary school on allegations of defiling, marrying and impregnating a pupil (names withheld because she’s a minor). Both the suspect and the victim were found staying together," Mr Mugwe said. An Indian police constable has been injured in an attack while he was arresting two Nigerian nationals based on a tip-off that they were drug peddlers.  Officials said the incident occurred at Major Deepak Tyagi Marg in the Janakpuri area of West Delhi, on Sunday morning, May 30. One of the accused Nigerians was arrested while his accomplice identified as Joseph managed to escape from the spot.  It was gathered that on Saturday, police were tipped off that one African would show up with heroin at Major Deepak Tyagi Marg, Janakpuri around 3 am to 4 am on Sunday.  A police team reached the spot. Around 3.45 am, the two Nigerians came on a scooter and were waiting for someone. A teenager, whose teacher had sex with him, told cops he is furious with his mother for exposing the illicit relationship.   Abby Dibbs, 35, of Cross Plains, is now facing serious charges after admitting she had sex with the 17-year-old at her home in Wisconsin, USA.   The now-former Portage High School teacher has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff.   Police said she has admitted to having sex with the boy twice, according to a criminal complaint.   Portage police said in a statement that the teacher was arrested for sexual assault of a child on Wednesday, May 26, after the Portage Community School District administration contacted police.   Dibbs has reportedly admitted the student came to her home on Friday and Saturday the weekend before, and they had sex twice. Sergio Aguero has completed a move to Barcelona after his exit from Manchester City, the Spanish club have announced. The Argentina International left Manchester City following the expiry of his contract at the end of the season and has joined Ronald Koeman’s side on a deal until the end of the 2022-23 season.  The 32-year-old striker will be presented at the Nou Camp with club president Joan Laporta on Monday evening, May 31, and will officially join on July 1. Tennis star, Naomi Osaka fired back Sunday after she was fined $15,000 for skipping a mandatory press conference following her first-round victory at the French Open. Tournament organizers said Osaka was fined for failing to "honor her contractual media obligations."  Osaka announced that she would not participate in any media events in a post last week. The 23-year-old cited mental health concerns as the reason for her decision.   France President, Emmanuel Macron has warned that France would withdraw troops from West African nation, Mali, following the country's second military coup in just nine months. France has 5,100 troops in the Sahel region and has helped in the war against Islamist militancy but Macron has warned of the risk of Mali "moving towards" greater Islamist influence if there is no democratic government in place.   For decades France has provided military support to its former colonies in Africa, but has told regional leaders that France had no intention of keeping its troops in Africa forever. Macron is also annoyed by a lack of commitment from other European countries to fight the multiple militant Islamist groups in the region as Europe could be affected by possible jihadist attacks on the continent and illegal migration. China has scrapped its controversial 'two child' policy and will now allow couples to have three kids. According to Chinese state media, the move was approved by President Xi Jinping in order to aid the country's ageing population. This comes after Beijing abolished its infamous 'one child' policy in 2016 which had been in place since the late-1970s. The government believed that the high cost of raising kids in Chinese cities deterred many couples from starting families so the two children policy wasn't helping with population growth . Joe Lara, who is best known for starring in the TV series  Tarzan: The Epic Adventures , has died in a plane crash in Tennessee. He was 58. The actor was one of seven people who died on Saturday when a small jet, which was a Cessna Citation 501, crashed into Percy Priest Lake near the town of Smyrna. His wife, Gwen Shamblin Lara, 66, was also among the dead.     The other victims have been named as: Jennifer J. Martin, David L. Martin, Jessica Walters, Jonathan Walters and Brandon Hannah. Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy became the first African goalkeeper to win a Champions League title in its current form after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1 - 0 on Saturday night.   The Senegalese international is also the first African keeper to play in the final since Bruce Grobbelaar in 1985.   According to records, Zimbabwe’s Bruce Grobbelaar won the titles during the European Cup era in 1984 with Liverpool.   At that time, the former Zimbabwe international became the first African player to feature in a European Cup final, a game in which the Reds defeated AS Roma on penalties in 1984. A pastor and headteacher of Real Infant Primary School at Wakiso district in Kampala, Uganda, has been accused of sodomising six pupils between 2016 and 2019.   The suspect, Mpagi Didas alias Bakulu, appeared before the International Crimes Division Judge, Justice David Wangutusi, Thursday, May 27, on charges of aggravated defilement.   According to the prosecution, the victims were required to sleep naked and Mpagi would allegedly then fondle the genitals of the victims with his fingers and thereafter he practiced oral and penetrative anal sex on them.     The children who were aged between 10 and 16 years when the alleged crime was committed, told the court that Mpagi who was also a Pastor admitted them on a bursary scheme and threatened to withdraw it if they refuse to sleep with him or report the matter.   The prosecution notes that the headteacher who also used to work as a warden at the school would allegedly s...
