Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA have busted an online drug trafficking cartel that sells drugged cookies, cakes, brownies and all sorts of illicit substances to residents of Abuja and beyond, using the cyber space as its platform. Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, May 9, said five members of the organised drug criminal group were arrested during sting operations carried out between Friday 7th May and Saturday 8th May, 2021 by officers of the FCT Command of the Agency during which different brands of illicit drugs were recovered from them. The nabbed drug dealers include Queen Nvene, Collins Ozoemena, Samson Peter, Chika Nvene, and Habila Musa. The group specialises in clandestine production of drug based cookies, brownies and other edibles; markets and sells same online, through their Twitter and Instagram handles.   Popular Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, (aka Sunday Igboho) has mocked Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, over the sudden death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye. Sunday Igboho said he would not greet or sympathize with Adeboye over the demise of Dare because the General Overseer does not support Yoruba nation. Igboho did not mince words when he rained curses on any leader or Pastor who refuse to support the secession agenda, saying God will kill their children and wives. The Edo state Police Command has arrested two men, Monday Imafidon and Ifeanyi Okafor, who stole the loot dropped by a four-man gun-toting gang that robbed a POS outlet of N5.2 million. The robbery operation took place in Uromi, Esan north-east local government area of the state, where the hoodlums stormed the POS outlet on a motorcycle. They robbed everyone in sight, including the operator. Moments after the robbery, a detachment of police operatives and some residents gave the robbers a hot chase, following which they threw away their loot. Though the robbers were arrested, Imafidon and Okafor and some others at large, took advantage of the chaos to steal the money. A 300 level student of the Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil, Ahmad Abubakar Idris, has been found dead five days after he was reported missing. It was gathered that the 22-year-old student of the Department of Physics went missing last Saturday, May 1, 2021, when he left the campus with two colleagues to a market in Kano (Farm Centre) to buy a mobile phone.  His corpse was discovered at a sand excavation site in Mariri at the outskirts of Kano after police arrested one of the colleagues who was with him before he went missing. The father of the deceased, Abubakar Idris, who spoke to Daily Trust, said his son’s colleagues were suspected to have killed him because of the money in his possession. Mr Idris said he had sent some money to the Ahmad to purchase a mobile phone for his brother. A Wisconsin man who punched his 5-year-old son to death over a slice of cake has pleaded guilty to homicide. Travis Stackhouse, 30, pleaded to second-degree reckless homicide, child abuse, and child neglect this week in the June 2019 death of his 5-year-old son, Sir Amer Stackhouse, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. His guilty plea came after two days of witness testimony in his trial and after prosecutors introduced his taped confession as evidence, according to the report. Prosecutors alleged that the father was upset that his children were eating most of his Father’s Day cheesecake, and punched his son and smacked the boy’s face with the back of his hand, which contains metal from a surgery, according to the newspaper. Late American rapper, Pop Smoke, 20, was allegedly murdered by a 15-year-old shooter during a home invasion robbery in February 2020.  According to the  New York Daily News , LAPD Det. Carlos Camacho testified on Friday that the teenager was one of the five people arrested in connection with the rapper's slaying, which occurred following a home invasion. The group stormed Pop Smoke’s rented mansion in the Hollywood Hills on Feb. 19, 2020, and tried to take his Cuban link chain, but only got away with the diamond-studded watch, which they later resold for $2,000. In a statement released, the spokesperson of the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, described the killing as “unprovoked and mindless”.?
