Former US president, Donald Trump has revealed he is looking 'very seriously' at running for president again in 2024. Speaking during his very first television interview since leaving office in January, Trump announced his Presidential ambitions. Three police officers are feared dead after hoodlums attacked a divisional police station in Adani, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State in the early hours of today Wednesday, April 21. Residents of the community say the hoodlums began the attack at about 2.30 am and did not stop until 3.30am. Confirming the attack, Daniel Ndukwe who is the spokesperson of the state police command, said   “Yes, there is a report of an attack on Adani Divisional Police station this early morning. However, the details of the incident are still sketchy.”

Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 14 suspected internet fraudsters. The suspects are: Abiodun Gbolahan Seidu, Joseph Aganaga Ndubuisi, Sodimu Olawale Sikirudeen, Ohaekim Christopher, Ambali Oluwaseyi Rahman, Chibuzor Ebubedike, Salvador Abduljabar, and Omohogbo Donald Ede. Others are: Thomas Obire Tobiloba, Olatunbosun Adeniyi Abiodun, Olugbemi Oluwatomigbeleke Eniola, Sanni Azeez Olayinka, Joseph Afenikhena Osaoman and Hamed Olayinka Olanrewaju.   According to EFCC, they were arrested on Saturday, April 17, at Westwood Estate, Badore, Ajah Lagos, following verified intelligence received by the Commission about their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud. Items recovered from the suspects include cars, iPhones, Android devices, laptop computers, a MacBook Pro, hard disk drives, and jewellery. The suspects will soon be charged to court.

Comedienne, Ada Jesus, has died. She died in an Abuja hospital today April 21. She suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday night, April 20 and was rushed to the ICU where the doctors monitored her. Sadly, she lost the battle to the kidney ailment she had been battling with on Wednesday, April 21. She was 22 years old. Ada Jesus was admitted to the hospital after she developed kidney disease. When her health took a turn for the worse, she went to ask for forgiveness from those she had spoken against in the past, including clergyman, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere Odumejeje, actress, Rita Edochie, and also some traditional worshipers. Odumejeje's and Rita Edochie's initial refusal to forgive her got the attention of well-meaning Nigerians who decided to take care of her medical bills so that she can get dialysis. Her health which was said to have improved, took a different turn last night until she breathed her last. May her soul rest in peace, Amen🙏🙏🙏  

At least 22 Covid patients have died after they lost oxygen supply for around 30 minutes due to a leak.  The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 21, while an oxygen tanker was refilling a storage tank at the Zakir Hussain hospital in Nashik city. According to Nashik district collector Suraj Mandhare, the supply was interrupted after a leakage in one of the storage tankers at Dr. Zakir Hussain Municipal Hospital. All the victims were on ventilators and in need of constant oxygen supply before the incident occurred.   A total of 157 patients were undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 hospital in Nashik, Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope said. “Of these 157 patients, 61 were critical with some of them on ventilator and oxygen support. An associate of singer R. Kelly has pleaded guilty to arson for setting fire to a car outside the Central Florida home of Kelly’s ex-girlfriend. Michael Williams was one of three associates of R. Kelly who were arrested for allegedly attempting to intimidate and threaten women who have accused the singer of sexual abuse and harassment in August 2020.  On Monday, April 19, he pleaded guilty to arson after setting an SUV, parked outside an alleged victim’s Florida home, on fire.      “I drove from my house to Kissimmee, Florida and deliberately set a car on fire in someone’s driveway,” Williams said during a court hearing in New York Monday after pleading guilty to arson. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop the witness tampering charge against him.      “The plea agreement is fair in that the witness tampering charge as it relates to R. Kelly will be dismissed at sentencing,” said defense lawyer Todd Spodek. ...

A 200-level student of the Management and Accounting department of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State, Emmanuel Adedeji, has committed suicide. Late Adedeji was said to have drank a popular insecticide in the school premises and died a few minutes later behind the Mechanical department popularly known as Spider building. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the institution, Abiodun Olarewaju, said   “We appeal to parent and guidance to please let thier children know that failure or depression occasioned by whatever suicide should not be an option. We want to sympathise with the parent and friends of the deceased. The boy was at his formative age. We heard that the boy left a suicide note. It pains us that the boy is dead. The reason for his action is not yet known.”

A Minneapolis jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former police officer charged with killing George Floyd after he knelt on his neck for over 9 minutes. Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all counts Tuesday, April 20, for his involvement in George Floyd's death, a verdict that could send the disgraced former Minneapolis police officer to prison for the rest of his life. The judge announced that Chauvin was convicted of second- and -third-degree murder, as well as second-degree manslaughter. He faces up to 75 years in prison when he returns for sentencing in eight weeks. Second-degree murder carries a maximum sentence of 40 years. Third-degree murder carries a maximum sentence of 25 years. The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspects for their alleged involvement in cultism and robbery. The suspects, Sunday Victor Dotun,24, and Olayiwola Samson a.k.a Suarez, 27, were arrested at Bodija Oju Irin in Ibadan by men attached to 39 Police Mobile Force (PMF) during stop-and-search while on patrol.     Police recovered a locally-made single-barrelled pistol, a locally-made double-barrelled pistol, four live bullets, an axe, three mobile phones, an envelope of donation to Aiye Confraternity and a black mask from them.
