American rapper, Lil Uzi Vert has implanted an 11-carat pink diamond reportedly worth  $24 million into his forehead.  This comes days after the XO Tour Llif3 rapper known for his extravagant jewellery purchases, revealed his plans for the face diamond.  He told his fans in last month: "I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now. This one Stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond.   A lot of M’s in my face "   This week, the 26-year-old rapper whose real name is Symere Bisil Woods, unveiled the boldface piercing on his Instagram.  

A Sokoto State High Court has sentenced a middle-aged man, Aminu Ibrahim, to four years imprisonment for raping a 9-year-old girl.  Ibrahim was convicted on January 28, 2021, by the court presided over by Honourable Justice Muhammad Muhammad.  The convict was dragged before the Court by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).  According to a statement issued on Wednesday, February 3, by Stella Nezan, Head, Press and Public Relations Unit of NAPTIP, the convict was arrested on September 2020, by the operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense in Sokoto metropolis.  He was said to have lured the victim, who is his neighbour's daughter, with offer of biscuit and money and thereafter raped her.  Speaking on the judgement, Director General of NAPTIP, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim commended the Judiciary for granting accelerated hearing on the case saying that it was a judgment well...

  An associate of R&B singer R. Kelly pleaded guilty this week to trying to bribe a witness to keep her from testifying against the singer. Richard Arline Jr., of Dolton, Illinois, admitted in a Brooklyn Federal Court teleconference that he tried to pay off a woman known in court documents only as Jane Doe to stop her from sharing any electronic evidence against Kelly, who is awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Prosecutors said he offered the woman $500,000 on Kelly’s behalf. Arline was caught offering the bribe on recordings the woman made on the advice of law enforcement.  In the clips, Arline offers her $500,000 if she refuses to testify. Harry Song is set to wed again and he has revealed the identity of his new woman. The singer/songwriter shared a photo of himself and his woman both clad in white as he announced that their wedding will hold in March. Harry, who got married a few years back only for it to end, said he's got it "perfect" this time. He wrote: "ALL SHADES... I got it perfect this time. A woman was stabbed to death by her jealous ex-boyfriend after he saw her on a Tinder date with another man, a court heard  Cruise line worker, Cristina Ortiz-Lozano was killed in a 'frenzied' attack after being followed home by ex-lover Abdelaziz El Yechioui Ourzat, prosecutors said. A jury was told he had been caught on CCTV "hiding in the shadows" outside a pub where she had gone with a man she met on the dating app. He then allegedly followed the couple as they went back to her house before following her inside and stabbing her 23 times with a kitchen knife while her date waited outside. Prosecutor Kerry Maylin told Winchester Crown Court in Hampshire, England that Ourzat, 30, was "a jealous ex-boyfriend in a fit of rage who conducted a frenzied attack on her, quite simply because she had gone out with a male, not Mr. Ourzat, on the night of the killing". A suspected ritualist has been arrested after he allegedly attempted to sacrifice a 9-year-old girl in Ibaa community, Emuoha Local Government  Area of Rivers State. It was gathered that the suspect identified simply as Achor, was caught after the girl’s parents had raised the alarm over her sudden disappearance and soldiers in the community embarked on a search.  According to a source in the community, the child was sent to dispose refuse in a nearby bush when the suspect dragged her into an abandoned compound where he had kept a coffin.  He tied the girl with white cloths, applied white clay on her body and was in the process of performing the ritual when the soldiers swooped in and arrested him.  Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident to PUNCH on Wednesday, said the suspect was handed over to the police in Rumuji.
