A 26-year-old woman identified as Clara Jacob, has drowned in a hotel swimming pool in Jalingo, Taraba State.  An eyewitness who spoke to  The Sun  said that Clara and her friends were swimming at the hotel swimming pool on Saturday, October 30, when they noticed she was missing. "We were at the pool this evening swimming when we noticed that she was struggling in the deep end of the pool. We immediately called the pool manager that someone was drowning but he said he does not know how to swim. We were just there trying frantically to get someone who could help to no avail. US rapper Fetty Wap has been arrested and charged with participating in a conspiracy to smuggle large amounts of heroin, fentanyl and other drugs into the New York City region. The rapper, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was arrested Thursday, October 28, at Citi Field, where the three-day Rolling Loud hip-hop music festival is taking place. He was charged on Friday, October 29. An indictment unsealed on Friday named Maxwell and five other defendants, including a New Jersey corrections officer. Michael J. Driscoll, a top official with the FBI's New York office, said in a statement: "The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artist and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become."  The indictment charges Maxwell and his co-defendants with conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 100 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine between June 2019 and June 2020. Khloe Kardashian and her 3-year-old daughter, True Thompson, have tested positive for Covid-19.  Khloe made this known on Twitter as she advised everyone to stay safe. She explained that she had to cancel several engagements because of the sickness and will be in quarantine, following the Covid-19 guidelines. US President, Joe Biden on Friday, October 29 admitted that his administration was "clumsy" in its handling of the nuclear submarine deal that deprived France of billions in defense contracts. Biden met with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, in Rome, in a meeting meant to repair fractured ties after a rift over an agreement to provide Australia with submarines. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Command have arrested two self-claimed herbalists, Ajisafe Toheeb and Ogundayo Usman at Soka area of Ibadan over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud. Britain's monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, 95, has been told by doctors to rest for at least the next two weeks and not undertake any official visits, Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Friday, October 29. The announcement comes more than a week after the monarch, 95, spent a night in the hospital for what a spokesman described at the time as "preliminary investigations."  "Her Majesty's doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks. A 22-year-old Nigerian man, Faruq Osilalu, has been found dead in Baltimore City in the US days after he was declared missing.      Alayna Osilalu, the wife of late Faruq told US media that her husband, a driver with a transportation company, was found dead on October 4 but he was listed as a John Doe, until recently when authorities were able to identify him through his jewelry. She said he was giving someone a ride on the day he was last seen and that what happened to him remains a mystery.   The distraught new mum said his remains were so badly damaged that investigators could not figure out his fingerprints. She said her husband worked as a private contractor under Sedan Service in Baltimore and that she reported him missing on September 19, two days after his last known ride.   She said she made an official report of him being missing on September 27 and that two days later, the police found his car. The families of nine people fatally shot in 2015 at a historically Black church in Charleston, South Carolina, have reached an $88 million settlement with the Justice Department in their lawsuit over the shooter's weapon purchase.   The settlements range from $6 million to $7.5 million per claimant for those killed at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church and $5 million per claimant for survivors, the Justice Department said.   The victims killed ranged from 26 to 87 years old. They were Pinckney, the Rev. Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, the Rev. DePayne Middleton-Doctor, the Rev. Former New York governor, Andrew Cuomo is facing a new sex crime charge months after resigning from office instead of facing potential impeachment over allegations from aides that he molested them or touched them inappropriately.   He is now facing a misdemeanor charge in Albany City Court related to the alleged groping of a former aide. A copy of the court complaint accuses Cuomo of “forcible touching,” a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly intentionally and forcibly placing his hand under the blouse of the accuser and onto her left breast.   The complaint says the encounter occurred at the governor’s Executive Mansion in Albany on the afternoon of Dec. 7, 2020. “A misdemeanor complaint against former Governor Andrew Cuomo has been filed in Albany City Court,” New York state courts spokesman Lucian Chalfen said in an emailed statement. “As this is a sex crime, a redacted complaint will be available shortly.”   The charge carries a penalty of up to one y...

A young woman who graduated with 5.00 CGPA has disclosed how she did it. Kaitlin Akwada graduated with a perfect score from Godfrey Okoye University and was made the school's Vice Chancellor for one day due to her achievement.        She explained that her result is proof that "the power to attract what you desire lies in your hands". Spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. A Turkish woman has been sentenced to five months in prison for  allegedly "insulting men" in a tweet that the court was told read "I don't like men".   Pinar Yildirim, a 34-year-old book author and influencer campaigning for women's rights, said it is shocking that she was being jailed for something that she didn't even write, which can be seen in the tweet, which is still online today.   She had tweeted to her 1.9 million followers, "I still like men" but the court was shown a tweet that reads, "I don't like men".   Pinar Yildirim's tweet after a statement by Turkish media authorities implied watching Netflix encourages homosexuality.   Yildirim said: "RTUK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) made a statement that Netflix content encourages homosexuality. Sudan's military coup leader, Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has said the military seized power to prevent "civil war". Protests are continuing for a second day in the capital, Khartoum, with roads, bridges and shops closed, while phones and internet links are also disrupted and least 10 people are reported to have been killed after Sudan's military ousted it's civilian government on Monday, October 25 . The Oyo state police command has detonated a bomb at Abolongo custodial centre, four days after the correctional centre was attacked by gunmen who freed hundreds of inmates.  It is speculated that the bomb was one of those planted by the criminals who attacked the centre last week Friday. Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Centre in the state, Olanrewaju Anjorin confirmed the development.  Anjorin said;    “It is true but police detonated the bomb after the officers of correctional centres discovered that there was explosive planted outside the facility."

Reality TV star, Gifty Powers, has responded to actress Etinosa who slammed her for hailing Davido. Gifty had on Sunday taken to her Instastories to celebrate singer Davido after he attended his son Ifeanyi's  birthday party. Etinosa felt Gifty's post was unnecessary and took to her Instastories to knock her. She wondered why a man should be praised for attending his son's birthday party. According to her, women are not celebrated for breastfeeding their babies. In a response shared on her Instastories this morning, Gifty said men should be celebrated because, without the sperm which the man carries, the ovary cannot be useful.
