Trump has refused to concede after Biden, secured the required number of electoral college votes to win the presidential race. In a defiant statement shortly after Biden was projected winner, Trump said the election was “far from over”, and criticised Biden for “rushing to falsely pose as the winner”.     Barcelona wonderkid Ansu Fati could be set for a significant spell on the sidelines, after he suffered a serious knee injury during Barcelona’s 5-2 victory over Real Betis on Saturday. Barcelona confirmed that Fati did not come on for the second half after picking up an injury to his left knee, and could be out for a while. The 18-year-old played the opening 45 minutes for La Blaugrana but was substituted at half-time by Ronald Koeman, who introduced Lionel Messi in his place. Messi went on to turn the game in favour of his side netting a brace and helping his side run out hefty winners. Fati’s injury is described as an ‘internal meniscus injury’ to his left knee, a blow that could leave the winger out of action for several months.  

    United States of America President-elect, Joe Biden, has assured black voters of his support. He said this in his victory speech on Sunday (Nigerian time).Biden appreciated the voters for backing him in major cities. Black voters helped Biden emerged victorious in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. “And especially for those moments when this campaign was at its lowest — the African American community stood up again for me. They always have my back, and I’ll have yours,” he said. When assuring his support for African-Americans, he repeatedly slammed his fist on the podium and the crowd erupted in cheers. According to Africa Business Insider, black voters, particularly in key cities such as Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia, were a critical factor in Biden’s success.     The titan clash between Manchester City and Liverpool ended 1 -1 as the defending champions drop to third on the Premier League table. Liverpool that were top previously now trail behind Leicester City by one point and Tottenham who led the defending champions on goal difference. Manchester City were the dominant side in the match. They had every chance to steal a win against the Reds, however, they blew their closest opportunity in the 42nd minute when Kevin De Bruyne failed to score from the penalty spot. Liverpool took charge of the match from the 13th minute when Mohamed Salah converted from the penalty spot. Kyle Walker brought Sadio Mane down after the Senegalese moved pass him in the 18-yard box. Liverpool took the lead as City were quick to respond after De Bruyne provided Jesus with a pass which the Brazilian converted in the 31st minute. The match ended 1-1 as both sides failed to find the net in the second half.

    Former Cameroon striker, Samuel Eto’o, is now in stable condition after he was involved in a car crash around Nkongsamba-Douala road in his country. Eto’o was said to be returning from a wedding ceremony, when his car was hit by a bus on Sunday morning. Although the car was badly damaged in the front, the 39-year-old was immediately moved to a hospital, where he is recovering well. According to France Football, Eto’o suffered a head injury and no life was lost in the accident. Eto’o announced his retirement from football in September 2019 after a playing career that lasted 22 years.

  Twitter users have reacted after Khloe Kardashian celebrated Joe Biden's victory as he wins the US presidential election 2020. Khloe shared her excitement at Biden's win, despite her brother-in-law Kanye West failing to secure the same position. "OMG I want to cry tears of joy!!!! Bravo!!!" Khloe tweeted.     Twitter users responded, noting that she obviously didn't vote for her sister's husband, Kanye West.     Kim Kardashian also celebrated Biden's win and Twitter users reminded her that she and her husband Kanye had been visiting Trump in the White House.    

  A man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Chicago rapper, King Von.  The suspect, Timothy Leeks, 22, was charged with felony murder after the Atlanta Police Department secured warrants on Saturday November 7, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.     King Von, 26, whose real name are Dayvon Bennett, was shot around 3:20 a.m. Friday during an argument between two groups of men that "escalated to gunfire," according to a statement provided by Officer Steve Avery with the Atlanta Police Department.    Bennett was taken to an area hospital, where he died. The incident took place outside Monaco Hookah Lounge, where two off-duty officers who were in uniform and working an extra job at the lounge, along with an on-duty officer who was patrolling nearby, confronted the arguing groups.
