    Big Brother Naija Lockdown season 5 winner Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon has paid a courtesy visit to billionaire businessman, Prince Ned Nwoko, on Friday. During the visit, Ned introduced Laycon to his project on eradicating malaria in Nigeria and across Africa through his malaria vaccine research and fumigation of the country. The reality star, in return shared his experience in the Big Brother House, the lessons and how he intends to use his newly acquired fame to positively impact the society. The rapper also pledged his support to put an end to the scourge of malaria in Africa.

    Nigerian actress, Wumi Toriola has mocked her former friend, Seyi Edun for not being able to produce babies.   Reverend Polycarp Zongo, a pastor of the Church of Christ in Nations, Jos, Plateau State, who was kidnapped by the Islamic State In West Africa (ISWAP) around Bauchi-Gombe road, has been released. Pastor Zongo was released on Friday evening, October 30, through an undisclosed process, officials say.  Details about his release are yet to be disclosed, however, it was gathered that he communicated with his wife to confirm his release.     The pastor, who went missing while travelling to Gombe State for a conference, had appeared in a video this week saying he was abducted by the Islamic State West Africa Province. Pastor Zango said he was in the custody of the insurgents alongside two other Christian women, who were also abducted.     England’s World Cup-winning midfielder Nobby Stiles, aka “Toothless Tiger”, has died after a long battle with illness, his family said on Friday. He died at the age of 78. The former Manchester United player was an uncompromising competitor who won 28 caps for England, lifting the FIFA World Cup in 1966. He provided one of that final’s most iconic images as he danced around the Wembley pitch after the hosts beat West Germany.   Public and private schools in Delta have been directed by the state government to resume academic activities on November 2 after a week break. Patrick Ukah, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in Delta State said the directive was in line with the "teleclass".  Ukah who disclosed that the closure of schools in the state was occasioned by the hijack of the peaceful Endsars protest by hoodlums in the state, urged heads of schools to continue enforcing the COVID-19 protocols by their pupils and students to avoid the spread of the disease. On the resumption of nursery schools, the commissioner said it was being reviewed and the announcement for resumption of academic activities will be announced later.

She was photogrpahed by Kennedi Carter, 21, from North Carolina, making him the youngest person to shoot a British Vogue cover in the magazine’s 104-year history.   Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil has condemned the recent Islamic terror attacks in France, after three people were killed inside a catholic church in Nice just two weeks after a teacher was beheaded in Paris. The 32-year-old German footballer, who is a devout Muslim, took to Twitter on Friday October 30, to state that there is 'no place for terrorism in Islam'. Sharing a photo of himself at the holy Islamic site of Mecca along with a quote from the Quran, which read: 'Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as is he has killed all mankind and whoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.'

  Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally tested negative for Coronavirus after three positive tests.  Recall the Portuguese international, 35, first tested positive while on international duty with Portugal on October 13. He returned another positive result last week and was made to take another test earlier this week, which also returned positive.  On Friday, the Serie A side announced that Ronaldo has now tested negative in a statement on their official website.  "Cristiano Ronaldo carried out a check with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid-19," the statement read. "The exam provided a negative result. The player has, therefore, recovered after 19 days and is no longer subjected to home isolation." Ronaldo, who missed the club's previous four matches including Wednesday's Champions League match against Barcelona will now be eligible to return for Sunday's clash against Spezia.

  The suspect whose father is a former Minister from Benue State, is in detention pending the conclusion of investigation over last week's attack on the BDC. He was accused of carrying out the operation in one of his father’s cars and a locally made rifle.    A source told The Nation;    “The former Minister’s son allegedly stormed a Bureau De Change in Abuja last week with a locally made rifle in order to haul some cash. He came to perpetrate the act in one of his father’s cars. “But while allegedly robbing the BDC, he was caught by vigilant forex marketers and beaten to a pulp before being handed over to the police. The angry mob also smashed his father’s car which he used for the ‘operation’. ”Preliminary findings have confirmed that the suspect, who is an officer with a Federal agency in Abuja, is used to free money.   Rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has opened up on the ill-treatment she gets from fellow Muslims Yesufu, who is the co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group lamented that fellow Muslims rain curses on her in the mosque. She said the resentments she now suffers is due to her involvement in the widespread EndSARS protests. The activist made the disclosure on her Twitter handle. According to Yesufu: ”Heard I am being cursed in mosques! People finish praying and take time out to curse me in their prayers. “I have asked they should please let me know how many of these curses they rained on me when I was making the same demands during GEJ! We are all already cursed in Nigeria.” Many activists including Aisha Yesufu had joined Nigerian youths in the streets to protest against police brutality and bad governance in the country.
