  Music Legend, Dr Prince Morroco Maduka, has died. He was 76 years old. The singer passed away on Thursday afternoon, October 29. He celebrated his 60th year as a singer this year. The chairman of the Anambra chapter, Performing Musician Association of Nigeria, Ikeme Mazeli, announced his passing in a statement released this evening   ''With heavy heart of sorrow...We the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music  Legend, Dr Prince Morroco Maduka.....Ozonweluibe. He passed on this afternoon (Thursday, October 29th, 2020).     A hero eight-year-old boy saved his mum, sister and pet rabbit from their burning home after he luckily woke early and alerted the family to the blaze. Amy Brown was alerted to the fire by son Jenson early on October 13, who had gone downstairs to watch television at around 6am. But he soon raced back upstairs to tell his mum the screen had exploded - the fire turned out to have been caused by the tumble dryer setting on fire. The family were forced to flee the house in Swindon, Wilts., as the flames spread quickly, eventually gutting the house - costing them everything. A fundraiser has since been launched to help Amy and partner Richard Bird out, which has already topped £1,000. Amy, 33, said: "It's an ongoing joke in our family that Jenson gets up at 5am.     Media personality, Toke Makinwa has tested positive for coronavirus. She announced this today on her instagram page, less than a week to her birthday. According to Makinwa who turns 36 on November 3, she has been battling with the virus for about two weeks and is unsure how she got infected. Although Makinwa is not out of the woods yet, she remains hopeful that the worst days are far gone.   A man identified as Raymond Steven Sekitayira has died ten days to his wedding in Kampala, Uganda. It was gathered that Raymond slumped at his workplace in Kampala on Wednesday morning, October 28. He was rushed to IHK Hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctor. Raymond was set to tie the knot with his childhood sweet heart Joy Nekesa on Saturday, November 7th, 2020.      The couple's introduction ceremony was to hold on Saturday, October 31, at the bride's family home.  Rotaract Club of Nateete Kampala confirmed the sad news in a statement on Thursday morning, October 29.   Nigerian rapper, Ladipoe has tested positive for Coronavirus  Ladipoe disclosed the news via his Instagram story on Wednesday October 28, saying he recently received the results of his COVID-19 test and it came back positive. He also said his symptoms are mild and that he's getting better.     

  An angry mob set a 64-year old man ablaze in South Africa after accusing him of being responsible for the death of his wife. The brutal attack happened at Ngove village in the Giyani area of Limpopo on Wednesday night, October 28.   Police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe, who confirmed the incident said villagers went on a rampage after the body of 60-year-old Phosa Egnes Maswanganyi, who went missing on Tuesday October 27,  was discovered hanging from a tree in the nearby bushes.  "The residents then accused the deceased's husband and his friend of being involved in her disappearance and  eath.   Former South Korean president, Lee Myung-bak was ordered back to prison on Thursday, October 29, after the country's Supreme Court upheld a 17-year jail term for bribery and embezzlement offenses in connection with his brother's auto parts company DAS. Lee Myung-bak, who served as president from 2008 to 2013, had been out on bail awaiting the ruling.  After the court's decision today, the 78-year-old was taken away from his Seoul home by Police.  Lee was first convicted of embezzlement and accepting bribes in late 2018 and jailed. An appeals court later increased his sentence to 17 years but granted him bail pending a further appeal to the nation's highest court. On Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld his conviction for embezzling 25.2 billion won (US$22 million) and accepting bribes totalling 9.4 billion won, as well as the 17-year sentence.     The Federal High Court in Abuja has turned down the application to extradite the former Minister of Petroleum, Deizani Alison-Madueke from the United Kingdom. Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu refused the application on the grounds that the evidence in support to prove that the earlier court summon granted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had failed in the extradition of Deizani, and it must be filed again before another request can be made. The prosecution counsel, Farouk  Abdalla informed the court that the defendant was not in court despite a notice of summons for her appearance that was published in a national daily and the EFCC’s website on August 20. Ruling on the application, Justice Ojukwu ruled that an extension order be made, as the prosecution needed to file an affidavit to support the warrant for extradition.     A pregnant teen was killed after two drivers boxed in the car she was driving on wednesday in Berkeley, Calif., and almost two dozen gunshots were fired from one of the cars. Sereinat'e Henderson, 19, was driving along Prince St. near Malcolm X Elementary in South Berkeley with her mother beside her, and her sister, brother, and young son in the backseat.   Suddenly, two other drivers boxed in her car, her mother, Salima Wyrick said.  'It was a black car that pulled up behind us and a white car that pulled up on the side of us,' Wyrick said, 'and the white car pulled up on the side of us and just opened up fire.'  Twenty-two bullets hit the car, she said, and one of them struck Henderson in the head.  The rest of her family escaped the drive-by without being shot.     The Office of the U.S Trade Representative has explained why the Trump administration is opposed to the selection of former Nigerian finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, as the director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The United States said it supported instead Korean Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee. She is “a bona fide trade expert who has distinguished herself during a 25-year career as a successful trade negotiator and trade policy maker, ” the US statement read. Although the U.S did not mention Mrs Okonjo-Iweala, it said “The WTO is badly in need of major reform. It must be led by someone with real, hands-on experience in the field.” The U.S position was seen Wednesday night as another blow at the WTO by the Trump administration.   The Edo State Police command has rearrested 10 of the inmates who escaped from the Benin Medium Custodial Centre and Oko Medium Custodial Centre, in Benin, the state capital.   The body of a Virginia rapper who went missing for eight days was found in the trunk of his friend's car after a crash on a Florida highway. Brian Trotter, AKA Kent Won't Stop,25, was reported missing by his family on Saturday, October 17. A week later, his body was discovered in the boot of a car after Miami-Dade police responded to a crash on Palmetto Expressway near Miami Lakes on Sunday, October 25.  The officers towed the vehicle - a 2009 Silver Acura - to a nearby car park, where they saw flies buzzing around it and noticed a suspicious smell.   Diplo claimed he slept with Beyonce over 10 years ago. The American record producer made this claim in leaked text messages he sent to another woman in 2010.  The woman had sex with Diplo then reached out to him to let him know she got a sexually transmitted infection (STI) from him. She asked to know what kind of infection he has so she'll know what she's treating.  However, Diplo denied it, blasted her and called her a liar.
