Four Nigerians and an Indian accomplice have been arrested in New Delhi for online fraud, promising fake jobs abroad or expensive gifts. As reported by India’s media, the Nigerians arrested were identified as Michael Scott Kolain (23), Idu Dollar Ukeke (32), Imu Sunday Azudaike (32), Kelvin Neke (29). Their Indian accomplice was named as Sujeet Dilip Tiwari (25) The Nigerians were arrested by Nagpur police cyber cell, acting under the petition of a retired Indian army nurse, who was scammed of 41.7 lakh($10,833) in July. The police claimed the Nigerian gang must have committed frauds worth crores of rupees. The 56 year-old woman, Reena Samsher Singh, was first befriended on Facebook by one of the accused using a fake profile of an American.. Then the fraudster promised her a lucrative job abroad. Thereafter, came another promise: to send her gifts and gold jewellery. To collect the gifts, the victim was asked to deposit money in various bank accounts for `releasing’ the goods ...

  Pastor Sam Adeyemi has hilariously reacted to a post of Adekunle Gold offering to give him a cold beer but can’t because he doesn’t drink beer. Reacting to that Pastor Sam hilariously said Adekunle shouldn’t lead him into temptation sarcastically asking how cold the beer is as he thanks him for his thought. Pastor Sam who seems to be full of humor knew Adekunle Gold didn’t mean any harm with his post hence replied with humor asking him not to lead him into temptation.

    Youths numbering over 1000 have barricaded the Kogi State Government House protesting against SARS brutality in the state. The youths who blocked the gate of government denied everyone, including security operatives, government officials, access into the complex. They are insisting that the disbandment of SARS by the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu is not enough to stop their protest According to the protesters, there is a need for a total overhaul of the Nigeria Police force. They are asking to see the state governor, Yahaya Bello, despite an attempt by the governors Chief of Staff, Jamiu Asuku, State Security Adviser Air Commodore Jerry Omodara and other government officials to address them.   The protest is continuing despite an address by the state governor warning that some hoodlums have hijacked the genuine exercise to end the dreaded Special Anti Robbery Squad unit established in 1992.

    An HIV-positive man has been sentenced to six years in jail for exposing women by having unprotected sex with them without telling them he has the potentially life-threatening virus. Danny C. Perry II, 41, pleaded guilty last week in Nashville to HIV exposure and was sentenced to six years in prison for transmitting the incurable virus on September 30. Davidson County Criminal Court Judge Steve Dozier found Perry guilty of a felony charge of criminal exposure of another to HIV and handed him the maximum jail time for the offense. Now police, prosecutors and two of Perry’s victims are urging women who have had s.e.x with Perry to get tested. Metro Police and the district attorney’s office said they’d pursue additional charges against Perry if more of his s3x partners come forward. Twitter users woke up this morning to see people tweeting different things about the protests while someone even claimed the protests has been hijacked by anti-government protesters. Many kicked against this. It has been one distraction to another on social media, as others appeal Nigerian youths remain one -- same spirit. Falz also had to make a statement saying the youths shouldn't allow anything break them. While threatening to unfollow many, the actress wrote; ''I will unfollow everyone that insists on discrediting the organization of these protests. I have been supporting different demonstrations and protests over the years. This is the best organized. For once, I feel that the voices of real people are being heard.''

  The Cross River State Police Command in the early hours of Wednesday bursted a baby factory in Obot Udonna Village in Akampka LGA of the state while parading a three-man robbery gang that specializes in raping their victims and demanding oral sex. Vanguard learnt that the covert operation which led to the rescue of two pregnant women and three children was carried based on Credible intelligence. Speaking with Vanguard, the Commissioner of Police, Abdulkadir Jimoh said they got credible intelligence which they promptly acted upon and apprehended the operator of the Baby factory, Imaobong Asuquo. He also revealed that the prime suspect operated the baby factory in her home and sells baby for 500,000 each in collaboration with another suspect simply identified as Iquo.
