                  A 16-year-old grade 10 learner, Alicia Mohlaloga was allegedly shot dead in South Africa by a police officer, who is also her neighbour. It was gathered that the incident happened in the early hours of Friday, October 2, at Seshego Zone 1 EXT in Polokwane, Limpopo.   It is alleged that she was shot for no reason and that the police officer was under the influence of alcohol.   A 17-year-old girl identified as Minette Fotsting is reported to have been raped to death by unknown men in Douala, Littoral region of Cameroon. It was gathered that the teenager fondly called Kitty, was found in critical condition beside a construction site in Logpom district not far from her family house in the early of Wednesday, September 30. She was rushed to a clinic in the Bepanda district of the 5th Arrondissenment in Douala for medical attention.   Harvey Weinstein has been charged with six more counts of sexual assault in California. The charges brought against the disgraced film producer, 68, involve two victims from incidents that allegedly happened more than a decade ago. It comes after Weinstein was convicted of r*pe in New York in February. Prosecutors have added six additional counts of sexual assault to the existing charges, which include rape and sexual battery. The new allegations against Weinstein claim he r*ped a woman at a hotel in Beverly Hills between September 2004 and 2005, prosecutors said. He is also accused of r*ping another woman on two separate occasions in November 2009 and November 2010 at a hotel in Beverly Hills.   Liverpool star Mane has tested positive for coronavirus.  The Reds winger is the second member of the squad to test positive for Covid-19, Sadio Mane will miss Liverpool’s trip to Aston Villa. The Senegal forward is in self-isolation after his positive test, with Jurgen Klopp’s plans affected once more by the growing spectre of coronavirus.   The Spanish capital Madrid will become the first European capital from Friday night to head back into lockdown because of the explosion in coronavirus cases. The lockdown affects some 4.8 million Madrid residents and they will be barred from leaving the area. Restaurants and bars in the Spanish capital and nine satellite towns will shut early and slash capacity by half in what has again become Europe’s worst infection hotspot. The new restrictions, to start at 10 pm (2000 GMT), are not as strict as the previous lockdown from March, when people were barred from leaving their homes.   US President, Donald Trump has been transported to Walter Reed medical centre after developing mild symptoms from the deadly coronavirus infection. This was made known in a statement released by the White House on Friday, the Sun reports. According to the statement, the president will spend “the next few days” at the military hospital in Maryland. “Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days,” the statement read.

  A six-man robbery gang attacked a bank in Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of Ekiti state yesterday October 2, carting away millions of Naira. According to reports, the robbers who were armed with sophisticated weapons stormed the bank around 3.30pm and blasted the security doors with an explosive device suspected to be dynamite. The robbers reportedly operated for about 40 minutes and carted away several millions of Naira.   An eyewitness said police officers were nowhere to be found while the robbery attack lasted. “In fact, the police disappointed us.
