  Top African singer, Davido is set to feature in the new "Coming to America 2", a follow up to the original "Coming to America'' that featured star Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy and was a major hit in the late 80s. The movie is set to be released later this year and in a post shared on Twitter, Davido was officially listed among the cast of the movie.   ‘Coming To America’ featured stars like Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and Paul Bates as its main cast who will be retaining their roles in the sequel. Other new faces expected to be in the movie include Jermaine Fowler, Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, KiKi Layne, Rick Ross, Luenell, Rotimi, Teyana Taylor, and Michael Blackson.  

  A 22 year old girl dancer, Georgia Brodrick, has miraculously recovered after she hurled herself off an eighth-storey balcony in a desperate attempt to escape her abusive boyfriend. According to the Daily Mail Australia, Brodrick called her dad on the morning of July 17 from her apartment in Melbourne, Australia, begging him to come and pick her up. She had just found out her boyfriend had cheated on her despite his physical abuse towards her.   When she waited for dad and he didn't make it on time she jumped off the balcony and landed on a fence, with her body bouncing into a nearby ditch. She was rushed to the hospital where she was reportedly put into an induced coma for emergency surgery . Her injuries were so bad that doctors gave her just a 10% chance of survival, as she spent three weeks on the trauma ward being fed through a tube.   Tragedy struck in Anambra state on Monday, September 14 after a water tanker crushed a tricycle, killing one person and leaving four others seriously injured. A statement released by RC Kamal Musa, the acting Sector Public Education Officer of the Anambra state Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, states that the accident occurred opposite Jodon Shopping Mall Nkpor, along Onitsha- Awka Old road at about 3pm. Musa said the crash occurred as a result of excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking. He said four persons who sustained injuries in the accident were rushed to Boromi hospital Onitsha, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command and the dead victim's body was deposited at the Mogue after he was confirmed dead by the Doctors in the Hospital.     

  The police in Ogun state have arrested four men for allegedly beating a yet-to-be-identified police officer to death in Dalemo, Sango, in the Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, September 13. In a statement released on Monday, September 14, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the four arrested men identified as Jelili Ismaila, 22; Amidu Bankole, 34; Elijah Samson, 36; and Moses Proboye, 34, were reportedly hired by a truck driver who had an argument with the deceased police officer and his colleague Oyeyemi said the deceased constable and one other were escorting their principal from Idah in Kogi State to Lagos State when the incident happened.   “Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased officer and one other escorted their principal from Idah in Kogi State to Lagos State.   Caleb Obari, the 21-year-old Nigerian graduate who went missing in August after attending a yacht party with friends, has been found dead in Odesa Oblast, Ukraine. Caleb's body was found on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, near the coastline in Chornomorsk. According to the police, the cause of death is yet to be established and his case is currently being investigated as an accident. Recall that weeks ago Caleb's parents released a video begging for help in finding their son who attended a Yacht party with friends after they were invited by a woman only for them to return without him.   Jennifer Gobrecht, a woman told by doctors at age 17 that she was unlikely to have a child because she was born without a womb, has welcomed a child after having a womb transplant from a deceased donor. Jennifer, 34, has Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome, a congenital condition which occurs in 1 in every 14,500 women. She had no idea there was anything different about her, until she hadn’t started her periods at 17. She went to the doctors and was sent for a scan which revealed the devastating diagnosis.   Two suspected members of a syndicate who specialize in advertising expensive mobile phones at cheaper prices on a Nigerian online marketplace to lure their buyers to places where they fraudulently dispossess them of their money in exchange for fake mobile phones, have been arrested by the police.    The suspects, Chukwu - Emeka Ogbona (45) and Olabode Kehinde (34), both mobile phone technicians at the Computer Village, Ikeja were arrested at Olowu Street, Ikeja in separate incidents last Wednesday, September 9.   The duo, who are members of the same syndicate, advertised Iphone X, a phone valued at N240,000 for N155,000 to lure buyers into their nets.   Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson has gotten a prominent spot on Nigerian trend list after his girlfriend, Lydia who he was spotted with in a video months ago got dragged on Twitter by his alleged side chic, Toju and her friends.  Lydia had taken the first shot in tweets she shared on Twitter days ago. Former West Bromwich Albion and Super Eagles defender, Ifeanyi Udeze, has advised Everton winger, Alex Iwobi to leave the club after failing to secure sufficient game time with the Premier League side. Iwobi, 24, joined Everton last year for £28 million after ending his stay with Arsenal.
