  Football fans have taken to social media to react after the English Premier League released it's list for the 2019/2020 football managers of the season award. In the list, Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp, Chelsea's coach Frank Lampard, Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and Sheffield United's Chris Wilder were nominated for the prestigious 2019/20 Premier League Manager of the Season award. Surprisingly, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's team finished above everyone in that list except Liverpool, yet he was snubbed. At the beginning of the season, not many fans thought Man United will make top four but the team fought all odds and came out third. Some fans have reacted on Twitter, with some blasting Lampard's inclusion while others criticizing Ole's omission.   Some reactions below.   87 stranded Nigerians have been evacuated from Sudan by the federal government. The evacuees arrived the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport,Abuja at about 9.15am on Saturday August 8, 2020. The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) also disclosed that all the evacuees tested negative for the COVID-19 before boarding and will embark on 14-day self isolation as stipulated by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). It was also gathered that another batch of Nigerians stranded in United Kingdom will be arriving later in the day.   NFL star, Derrius Guice was arrested Friday, August 7, on charges stemming from "three domestic-related incidents."  The 23-year-old running back was taken into custody on Friday on multiple charges, including one count of felony strangulation, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Guice faces one count of strangulation, three counts of assault and battery, and one count destruction of property, a spokesman for the Loudon County Sheriff's Office in Virginia said in an email. The incidents happened in February, March, and April at Guice's home in Ashburn, Virginia and the sheriff's office was made aware of the allegations on July 22, sheriff's office director of media relations and communications Kraig Troxell said. Police said the incidents were first reported to the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland where the victim lives.   A military officer was killed along the Enugu-Makurdi highway at about 11.30pm on Friday, August 7. SaharaReporters reports that the deceased officer whose name was given as Sergeant Bulama Aji, was serving at 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Jos, Plateau State, when he was killed while traveling back to Jos. The gunmen reportedly opened fire on Aji, who was dressed in mufti, after he identified himself as a soldier when the bus was stopped by the gunmen. He died on the spot.  See more photos below..

  Leader of Hezollah Terrorist group, Hasan Nasrallah,  has warned Lebanese officials not to hold the Shiite militia responsible for the massive blast at Beirut's port on Tuesday August 4.   The huge explosion that wrecked large swaths of the city occurred on Tuesday after fire broke out from a stockpile of flammable ammonium nitrate that was left unattended to at Beirut’s port for more than six years. Lebanese Health Minister Hamad Hassan on Friday August 7, said that 154 people were killed in the explosions while than 5,000 residents were injured.According to the minister, almost a quarter of those wounded required hospitalization.  Some Lebanese politicians believe Hezbollah was responsible for the blast as they believe Hezbollah's presence in the country helped bring about the tragedy.   Juventus have sacked head coach Maurizio Sarri just a day after being knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon. The former Chelsea boss, 61, only took charge of Juventus in June last year, signing a three-year contract and helping the club to win their ninth consecutive Serie A title last month. On Friday, August 7, Juventus suffered a round-of-16 exit to the French club despite a 2-1 win, losing on the away goals after the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate. It is the first time Juventus have failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League since 2015/16 under Massimiliano Allegri.
