  A Nigerian college student who allegedly cheated women on Facebook has been charged at the Magistrate Court in Malaysia. Collins Sparklys Obianke, 33 (pictured leaving the Petaling Jaya Magistrate Court) who was charged at two separate courts here pleaded not guilty and claimed trial before magistrate Salamiah Salleh and magistrate Mohd Azali Ibrahim.

  According to Carlifornia Prison Officials, Former American football star Lawrence Phillips, who was a a star college running back at Nebraska in the mid-1990s has been found dead in a case of suspected suicide in his jail cell. Prison Guards at Kern Valley State Prison found the 40-year-old unresponsive in his cell shortly after midnight on Wednesday Jan. 13th . He was later pronounced dead at about 1.30am .

  34 year old Uche Okpara was arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrates’ court on Tuesday, January 12 for alleged theft of N90,000 belonging to a prostitute. According to P.M News, on December 30, 2015, Okpara stole the money from Caroline Ibrahim,38, after having sex with her at a guest house located at Aborishade street, Lawanson, Lagos.

  Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) earlier today sealed a property belonging to immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh. The house is located at Wuse II in Abuja. Looks like EFCC is coming after him and other former service chiefs...

  Eight Nigerian pirates identified as Molih William, Molilh, Klinsman, David Jacob, Amos Ebiyaibo, Aki Peggy John Picolo, Ayetimili Oyinle and Pinano Saniyu, have been deported by the Ghanaian authorities. The Nigerians were arrested following a complaint lodged by the Nigerian owner of a vessel, Sunday Nakase who said the men had stolen his oil ves­sel, MT Mariam, together with its crude oil contents and directed the crew to steer to an undisclosed destination.

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today, Wednesday, January 13th, arraigned one Felix Tangwami, a former chairman Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa state, before Justice Helen Nuhu Hamman Joda of Adamawa State High Court, sitting in Yola, on a five-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense to the tune of N981, 468, 000.00.

  FIFA's emergency committee decided to dismiss Jerome Valcke from the organisation after some ethics charges were brought against him over world cup ticket sales. FIFA sent out a press release which stated:

  A top ranking Biafran leader has revealed plans to drag Nigeria before a United States of America (USA) court for legal battle. The leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity with Biafra Media Forum as posted on the website of Radio Biafra, described the forthcoming legal battle between Biafra and Nigeria in a New York court as the first international legal battle between the duo. He said the case is expected to come up for hearing tomorrow, January 14, 2016.

  President Buhari has approved the appointment of Shettima Bukar-Abba as the acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, (FCC). This appointment comes after the sudden demise of the former Chairman of the agency, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Alkali last week Friday January 8th.   A 45 year old auto-rickshaw driver identified as Aagya Pal Singh and his brother have been arrested for allegedly molesting an unidentified 22-year-old Nigerian girl pursuing her second year graduation from a Delhi University college in West Delhi, India. According to reports, the young Nigerian girl was out to visit her friend 's home around 1.30 a.m. on Friday January 8th and had gotten into a hired auto-rickshaw in Tilak Nagar, when another man entered the vehicle and sat next to her.

Barcelona’s Brazilian star Neymar has been called to give evidence by Spain’s national court on February 2 for alleged fraud surrounding his transfer to Barcelona in 2013. Both the player’s parents, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and former club president Sandro Rosell, as well as two directors of Neymar’s former club Santos have also been called to give evidence, according to a court filing released on Wednesday.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari and National Security Adviser Babagana Maguno and 17 ministers were absent when Buhari arrived the Council of Chambers.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has found the remains of 21-month-old Lonzie Barton who went missing on July 24, 2015. According to a post shared by the sheriff’s office on Tuesday January 12, the chief suspect in the disappearance, cooperated & led investigators to the remains. The post below: "R.I.P. Lonzie Barton.   Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has commissioned the renovated Orumba General Hospital which had suffered neglect in the hands of successive administrations in the state. The hospital was established in 1957 by the former Eastern Regional government. The renovation of the Orumba General Hospital by the state government which was in partnership with RISE Clinic, USA under Anambra Business Coalition (ABC) was in tandem with the approved design under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to re-engineer four hospitals in the state, including RISE Clinic, Onitsha.

  No fewer than 13 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack suspected to be carried out by Boko Haram members inside a mosque in the Far Northern region of Cameroon this morning. "The suicide attack took place at 5:40 a.m. (2340 ET) in a mosque at Kouyape. There were 13 deaths including the man who blew himself up and one wounded," a senior Cameroonian official who declined to be identified told Reuters.

  A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been kidnapped by yet-to-be identified persons. It was gathered that Pastor Ayo Raphael was kidnapped during the Sunday service at the Resurrection parish of the RCCG in Kabba junction in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital. Eyewitnesses said the kidnappers, numbering about 10, stormed the church auditorium at about 9am and ordered the congregation to lie face down. An eyewitness, who pleaded not to be named, said:

  Federal High Court in Abuja has issued for the arrest of Mr. Government ‘Tompolo” Ekpemupolo in connection to a multi-billion naira fraud involving land contracts for the construction of a Nigerian Maritime University (NMU). It will be recalled that on December 10th, 2015 that Tompolo was wanted for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and had refused to honor their invitation claiming he was in court against the anti-corruption agency.

  New York City police on Tuesday interviewed all five teenagers accused of raping an 18-year-old girl in a Brooklyn playground last week, officials said. Photo above is that of 14 year old Denzel Murray who for some reason has a smirk on his face while been charged to court. Four of the teenagers range in age from 14 to 17 and have been charged with rape and other related counts. The fifth suspect, age 18, was taken into custody around 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

  An armed man who believed he was confronting an intruder in the basement of his home Tuesday morning instead fatally shot his 14-year-old son, who was supposed to be on his way to school, police said. Police said the teen had headed to the bus stop but apparently came back home through a back door. The man said he heard a noise in the basement. Police said when the father opened a door within the basement, the boy appeared.
