  Daniel Holtzclaw, the ex-cop accused of raping, sexually assaulting and stalking 13 black women, was found guilty on 18 of 36 charges Thursday (December 10) and faces up to 263 years in prison. Hotlzclaw, who turned 29 today, targeted women who were arrested for drug and prostitution. The all-white jury deliberated for four days before reaching the verdict.

  A 31-year-old Murfreesboro woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted first-degree murder after a failed attempt to end her pregnancy, according to a report from the Murfreesboro Police Department. Anna Yocca of Swindon Circle is accused of using a coat hanger to end her pregnancy in September, Detective Tommy Roberts reported. She was 24 weeks pregnant then.

  US Air Force officials say the Department of Homeland Security has taken the lead role in the search for two Afghan men who disappeared while training with the U.S. military at a base in south Georgia.   Oh My Girl, a new South Korean K-pop girl band was travelling to the US for an album cover shoot when they were detained at the Los Angeles Airport on Thursday, December 10, on suspicion that they might be sex workers. According to AFP, the eight band members were held for 15 hours on Thursday before being released, after which they flew back to South Korea. Oh My Girl was formed in March this year and released its debut single in April.

  Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has been lashed at over reports that he approved N600 million for this year’s Christmas and New Year decorations. This bashing came from former deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, who is said to be in shock over the reported approval. Ihedioha who made his views known via Chibuike Onyeukwu, his media aide, said such huge sums should not be sent at a time the indigenes of the state are going through untold hardship arising from over 20 months of unpaid salary arrears and pensions.

  Jonathan Holmes will think twice about assaulting a woman ever again. CCTV camera caught him hiding behind walls and looking out for a victim after a drunken night out. Around midnight , he began following his intended victim, pushed her and tried to drag into the bushes. What he did not anticipate however is the fight she put up. The woman punched him twice in the stomach while holding her house keys and began to scream.
